The Toronto Fall Home Show roundup

It was a busy three days at the Toronto Fall Home Show as excited visitors were able to discover new trends in home design and decor after the show’s two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

For the first time, RENO+DECOR magazine teamed up with Renomark, a program established in 2001 by the Building Industry and Land Development Association that recognizes contractors who adhere to a specific code of conduct, to offer a new feature called “Ask A Professional”. Visitors to the booth were able to meet with renovators, designers and decorators for a free 15-minute consultation to get their home improvement project started off on the right foot.

The interior of the RENO+DECOR booth contained furniture from New Avenue Boutique, flooring courtesy of Remodel Canada and accessories from Renwil, Deco Trend and Décor by Christine, all beautifully coordinated and arranged by Maria Perketa and Christine DaCosta of Aspire Design Group.

The following industry experts were on hand to offer design and decorating advice to show visitors: Terry Edward Briceland, Daniela Caporilli, Shelly Cerrelli, Kate Davidson, Christine DaCosta, Fredi Fazli, Lisa Kooistra, Maria Perketa, Mimi Pineau, Diana Rose, Amanda Sheilds, Steven Southgate and Patti Wilson. As well, RENO+DECOR was pleased to present designer Lisa Kooistra on stage as she discussed the minimalist beauty of “Scandinavian Style”.

Due to its success and popularity, RENO+DECOR will bring the “Ask a Professional” feature to all of the upcoming 2023 GTA home shows, including the Home + Reno Show, the National Home Show and the Fall Home Show.
