Toronto’s Traffic Officially Sucks

Anyone who lives and works around the Greater Toronto area knows that traffic is bad. In rush hour, it seems that everyone who lives in the east end works in the west, and vice versa. Same goes for commuting from the northern suburbs to the downtown core. In short, traffic is almost constant in all directions. But you don’t have to just take our word for it. A UK consulting firm has concluded that Toronto’s traffic is the worst in North America and sixth worst in the world.

Aside from the frustration of commuters, the traffic has at least two costly side effects: elevated air pollution and billions in lost economic activity because goods can’t get where they need to be.
