IDS19 Guests of Honour
IDS is thrilled to welcome Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, the founding partners of Neri&Hu Design and Research Office , as the Guests of Honour for IDS19. As an interdisciplinary practice based in Shanghai, they have won numerous international awards such as the Overall Winner of The PLAN Award (2018), EDIDA Designers of the Year (2017), ICONIC Awards’ Interior Designers of the Year (2017), Maison & Objet Asia Designers of The Year (2015) and Wallpaper* Designers of The Year (2014). In 2013, they were inducted into the U.S. Interior Design Hall of Fame.
Before starting their own practice in 2004, they both worked for several architecture firms in the US. Neri&Hu strongly believe in research as a design tool, their work draws from the dynamic interaction between experience, detail, material, form and light.
Lyndon and Rossana continue to teach and lecture around the world. They created Design Republic, an award-winning retail concept store in Shanghai that offers a unique collection of products created by the world’s best design talents and were appointed Creative Directors of Stellar Works in 2015.
