Milton, Acton & Georgetown all have the small town charm, and are close to the city

Like so many other areas surrounding Toronto, Halton Hills – including Milton, Acton and Georgetown – is seeing its own spate of new development, as buyers head out of the city in search of larger homes and lower prices.

And in these areas, the predominant new housing type is still lowrise, though, also like other areas, new developments typically offer a mix of singles, semis and townhomes.

Small-town charm

Despite their proximity Toronto, these areas still boast much of their small-town charm, however. Established estate properties and historic neighbourhoods are now being joined by new masterplanned communities, including homes for young families.

Milton, the largest and fastest growing town in the area, features newer amenities such as the Mattamy National Cycling Centre and Milton Centre for the Arts to complement Kelso Conservation Area and Rattlesnake Point. And don’t forget the prized golf courses in the area, including Royal Ontario, Rattlesnake Point, Greystone, Granite Ridge, Piper’s Heath, Georgetown, Halton Country Club and Hornby Glen.

Georgetown has a notable cultural vibe, with live theatres and art galleries, including the Williams Mill Visual Arts Centre in the historical village of Glen Williams, The Gallery at the Halton Hills Library and Cultural Centre, Beaumont Mill, also in Glen Williams, and many private studios.

And who could forget Acton, perhaps most well-known for the Olde Hide House, Canada’s largest leather store? This famous leather goods retailer isn’t just a shopping opportunity, however – though it is worth the drive to Acton. Indeed, the tanning industry has been an important part of the local history since the mid 1800s, thus this heritage and the Olde Hide House are forever woven together.

For those looking for more tradition retailers, Milton, Acton and Georgetown are all a short drive from Toronto Premium Outlets, located just off Hwy. 401 at Steeles Avenue and Trafalgar Road, which opened in 2013.

Nature’s doorstep

Perhaps one of the most appealing attractions to Halton Hills is its location at nature’s doorstep – alongside the Niagara Escarpment. Besides Kelso, the area also has some of the most beautiful parks and trails in the province, including the Crawford Lake Conservation Area, the Glen Eden Ski & Snowboard Centre and the Mount Nemo Conservation Area.

If all that isn’t enough, Milton, Acton and Georgetown are all also blessed with easy highway access. Hwy. 7, connecting Acton and Georgetown; Regional Road 8 (Steeles Avenue) between Milton and Brampton; Regional Road 25 connects Acton and Milton; and Hwy. 25 connects with Hwys. 401 and 407.

Bringing exceptional innovative designs to Southern Ontario

With an incredible portfolio of over 3,500 homes in communities across southern Ontario, Andrin Homes’ commitment to excellence has been at the cornerstone of their undisputed building success.

A testament to the company’s exceptional building standards, Andrin has produced a series of outstanding master-planned communities, creating beautiful homes that embrace the homebuyer’s every need through unsurpassed living environments.

Andrin will soon be releasing detached-home communities in Milton and East Gwillimbury, as well as new incredible townhome communities in Aurora and Markham.

Due to their unprecedented success, Andrin is also scheduled to release future phases in the following communities: detached homes at Hillsborough (Holland Landing), townhomes at both Glenway (Newmarket) and Country Lane (Whitby), and Condominiums at Tower Two (Kitchener).

MILTON

Andrin is excited to announce that the release for one of their most anticipated new detached/townhome communities, Panorama in Milton, is just around the corner.

As Canada’s fastest-growing community and preferred tourist destination, Milton attracts more than 1.5 million visitors each year. Nestled at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, Milton offers an abundance of parkland and trails including the Bruce Trail and the century-old Mill Pond in the heart of the historic downtown area. An ideal place to live, work and play, Milton has experienced a new residential and industrial growth unprecedented in Canada.

This collection of detached homes and townhomes in Milton is for families who thrive on access to breathtaking natural spaces. Located within walking distance from Kelso Park, families will be able to enjoy year-round recreation including swimming, camping, skiing and tobogganing within the neighbourhood borders.

HILLSBOROUGH

With phase one and two successfully sold out, Andrin is preparing to release the next phase of Holland Landing’s most coveted master-planned community, Hillsborough. A unique collection of detached homes on 38-, 40- and 45-foot lots, Hillsborough is uniquely surrounded by parks, nature reserves and conservation areas.

At the heart of Hillborough is an incredible 10-acre community park featuring a baseball diamond, basketball courts, a playground, splash pads, ponds, sitting areas and a gazebo – all linked by pathways that are in and around the community.

Homebuyers will also have easy access to the new Highway 404 extension and the East Gwillimbury GO Transit station with direct access to downtown Toronto.

GLENWAY

Newmarket’s premier townhome community, Glenway, is now under construction with the next phase expected to be released in 2018. An exclusive collection of two and three-storey townhomes, the community is set on attractive, tree-lined streetscapes featuring luxuriously appointed interiors and meticulous craftsmanship.

Glenway is easily connected to the 400 series of highways including the Highway 404 extension and Highways 401 and the 407. Homeowners are also steps away from the Viva transit line, GO Transit trains and buses, as well as the rapid transit lanes on Yonge Street.

COUNTRY LANE

Country Lane in Whitby represents a new style of the master-planned community with unique streetscapes, traffic calming roundabouts and meticulously designed homes – all set on 26-, 36- and 45-foot lots.

With Country Lane’s Phase One having been one of its most successful communities, Andrin cannot wait to introduce a new phase of townhomes to homebuyers in the upcoming year.

Country Lane is moments away from excellent schools, shopping, restaurants and recreation. Minutes from GO Transit and Highways 401 and 407, homebuyers are just 30 minutes away from Toronto — close enough to the big city, yet far enough away to offer a clean, small-town style family community.

TOWER TWO CONDOMINIUMS

Tower Two sets a new standard for sustainable urban living with the introduction of Kitchener’s first LEED candidate residential condominium community.

With City Centre built and completely sold out and Tower Two set to open soon, this condominium project exudes a truly urban lifestyle, including the use of energy efficient heating, plumbing and electrical systems, reduced consumption, enhanced recycling, walking, biking, car share and transit.
