The Oaks at Six Mile Creek

Blythwood’s newest community now under construction

The Oaks at Six Mile Creek is Blythwood Homes‘ most elegant community. Nestled against a 60-acre forest preserve, with mature oak trees and an abundance of wildlife, The Oaks is sure to become one of Niagara Region’s most desirable adult communities.

The Oaks is within walking distance to downtown Ridgeway, as well as the sandy shores of Lake Erie. In addition, a large number of lots back onto the forest and green space. The utilities and roadways are near completion, and construction is well under way.

AMAZING AMENITIES

Guaranteed to augment a happy, fulfilling lifestyle, a wide range of amenities are close at hand. Within 30 minutes of the Oaks, there are close to three dozen championship golf courses. Shopping, healthcare, entertainment venues, fine dining and a plethora of award-winning wineries are nearby.

The Niagara Peninsula has become a desired location, due to its accessibility to the GTA, as well as its proximity to Buffalo and New York State. Via the QEW, residents have their choice of airports when heading out on holidays. In addition, Niagara Region is at the northern edge of the Great Carolinian Forest, and a more temperate climate, you’ll experience milder winters and longer summers.

HIGH STANDARDS

While the location is definitely one of the true advantages of the Oaks, the quality and value of the home designs offered by Blythwood Homes completes the entire lifestyle package. Considered to be one of Niagara Region’s top builders of adult-oriented communities, Blythwood selects prime locations that are conducive to the wants and needs of those who are well aware of what they’re looking for. Blythwood insists on generous detached lot sizes – some up to 50 feet wide and 130 feet deep. Most models, including townhomes, come with two-car garages.

Bythwood-built homes come with fine features and finishes – inside, and out. Extra-height ceilings range from nine to 16 feet, and are accented by an abundance of oversized windows. Furniture-grade cabinetry is used in the kitchen and on bathroom vanities. Many finishes that would be considered upgrades by other builders, are standard in a Blythwood home.

All Blythwood homes are insulated to the strictest standards, meaning that the homeowners live in year-round comfort at the most economical price. High-quality furnaces are 97 per cent efficient. Energy Recovery Ventilation assures a continuous supply of clean, fresh air, and modulated thermostats ensure that your home is at the comfort level that you prefer.

There are so many advantages to living at The Oaks at Six Mile Creek, but one of the most advantageous are the amazing home prices. Listed for far lower than a comparable house in the GTA, purchasing a new home in Niagara can save you several hundred thousand dollars.

South Coast Village

Resort-style living at Crystal Beach

Crystal Beach has changed over the last 50 years. Once home to the popular Crystal Beach amusement park, as well as hotels, the famous pier and big band entertainment, this once-happening tourist mecca drew tens of thousands of tourists to the shores of Lake Erie.

Today, Crystal Beach has a different vibe – it’s matured. The cyclone rollercoaster has long shut down, but the allure of the Caribbean-like sandy shores is still a highlight. Now there’s a more-relaxed atmosphere that focuses on a stress-free, coastal-inspired lifestyle.

Marz Homes has long recognized this coveted area, and introduces the third phase of their award-winning community – South Coast Village. Located steps from the beach, on once-was the amusement park’s parking lot, this community is perfectly positioned to take complete advantage of all the atmospheric elements of Crystal Beach. “We were so excited to watch the transformation of the neighbourhood over the past couple years, that we can’t wait to share our latest release,” says Dan Gabriele, president of Marz Homes. “The sense of community that we’re seeing develop amongst our homeowners, is the essence of small-town living. And, it’s been incredible to be a part of it.”

The attraction to Crystal Beach is clear. The town sits in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, surrounded by UNESCO Biosphere conservation areas. In addition to one of the best beaches in Canada, outdoor activities in the area include summer cycling, canoeing and waterfront sports, as well as a network of hiking trails. Come winter, these same trails offer an abundance of paths for cross-country skiing. In order to reinvigorate the main beach, and reignite the nostalgia of the old Canadiana Pier, a new beach promenade is currently in the works.

A short drive down the Niagara Parkway is Niagara-on-the-Lake. Take in a show at the Shaw Festival, tour award-winning wineries, or hop across the border to Buffalo to visit the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, as well as a myriad of sports stadiums, restaurants and malls. There’s no shortage of things to do in Crystal Beach, or in the towns surrounding it.

The Nostalgia Series is the third phase of South Coast Village. Bunga/loft-style homes include a main-floor master bedroom, and are priced from the high $400,000s for floorplans starting at 1,760 square feet. The deep lots, oversized front porches and coastal-inspired architecture in phase 3, will complement the streetscapes established in the previous two phases.

The recipient of the Ontario Home Builders’ Association’s People Choice Award, and a finalist for the Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s Community Development Award, the third phase of South Coast Village, by Marz Homes, is sure to be a show-stopper.
