2150 Lake Shore development takes another important step

The redevelopment plan for the former Christie’s bakery site at 2150 Lake Shore Boulevard and Park Lawn Road in Etobicoke took another important step recently when land owner First Capital Realty submitted a revised proposal to include a new GO station as part of the project.

2150 Lake Shore

The 28-acre site – known, at least temporarily, as 2150 Lake Shore – calls for 15 new residential and office towers, from 16 to 70 storeys, new parks and public spaces and employment.

First Capital proposes to build the new GO station in partnership with Metrolinx and located at the north end of the property. The station is envisioned to be on both sides of the Lakeshore West rail corridor, and both sides of Park Lawn. It is also expected to evolve into a multi-modal transportation hub that would improve local and regional transit access and connectivity.

The 2150 Lake Shore redevelopment is to be completed in multiple phases with new public and private streets, a new public park, and two squares, residential, commercial, retail and institutional uses. The proposal includes a total of 7,139 residential units and 4,425 parking spaces.
