The GTA’s affordable housing problem is not just affecting first-time buyers. Empty nesters and retirees, as well as those simply looking for an upgrade, are finding it more and more difficult to enjoy the offerings of Toronto’s urban living without breaking the bank.

Bylaws regulating development make it nearly impossible to produce another project such as this one, says Niceforo. Monaco Condominiums is located at Hurontario and Hume Streets and is located on the only lands designated for condo development in the town’s Heritage Conservation District.
