Residents are ready to live their best lives in their vibrant new community, which already boasts some of Toronto’s best entertainment venues, gourmet restaurants, boutiques, retail services, schools and corporate head offices, offering occupants the ultimate in convenience. Transit is a top priority these days and it’s easy to get to any part of the city from the building, which is close to both the Yonge TTC subway line, as well as the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, expected to open in 2021.

Sugar Wharf Condominiums

The Sweetest Life You Can Imagine Coming Soon by Menkes

Picture yourself on your next vacation; enjoying your morning coffee while overlooking a spectacular view of the water; starting the day with a good sweat at the gym or taking a dip in the pool; soaking up sun on the terrace; and later, enjoying a barbecue with friends.

Now imagine if this was your home. Life at Sugar Wharf Condominiums will be like living in your own luxurious resort on the water. With a brand new condo gallery opening soon at its One York Street complex, Menkes Developments Ltd. is introducing an exceptional new home opportunity in Toronto’s Downtown Waterfront district with Sugar Wharf Condominiums.

These luxury residences will be part of the new Sugar Wharf community, which will encompass 11.5 acres and include offices, restaurants and shops, a two-acre park, and a new school. Once complete, Sugar Wharf will be the largest mixed-use development on the Toronto Waterfront; home to 7,500 residents and 4,000 office workers. With the water’s edge just steps away, and easy access to all the conveniences and entertainment options the city has to offer, this phenomenal location represents both an escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life and the opportunity to experience every dynamic facet of downtown living. So whether it’s taking a relaxing evening stroll on the boardwalk, or cheering on the home team at a basketball game at the Scotiabank Arena, there will be something for everyone.

Toronto is home to one of the longest urban shorelines in the world. Over a 46-kilometre stretch from Rouge River in the east, to Etobicoke Creek in the west, the waterfront is home to beaches, parks, concert venues, markets and art galleries – and Sugar Wharf is in the middle of all the action. The comprehensive project will seamlessly connect residents and office workers to all parts of the downtown core through the PATH, which provides direct access to Union Station, the largest transit hub in the Greater Toronto Area, with connections to the TTC subway, GO Train, Via Rail, and the UP (Union Pearson) Express. With Sugar Wharf’s PATH extension, it will be possible to walk indoors from the waterfront, all the way to Toronto’s world class Financial District. Equally connected to the city as it is to nature, Sugar Wharf will revolutionize how Torontonians live, work and play.

Speaking of play, Sugar Wharf’s stunning amenities, designed by award-winning interior design firm Cecconi Simone, will take condominium living to the ultimate level. From entertaining guests, and keeping the kids busy, to enjoying some quiet time and relaxation. Whether you’re living independently, or looking to grow your family, Sugar Wharf has every facet of your lifestyle covered, with amenities so inviting, you’ll forget that you’re at home and not an exclusive resort.

The building offers future residents and their guests a variety of social gathering spaces including: a games lounge, private theatres, party rooms, and a bar/lounge area. And families with children will have more to do than they could ever dream of, with a list of amenities that rivals any children’s facility, and completely eliminates the hassle of bundling up the kids in cold weather, in search of local indoor entertainment. Residents will have access to an art/hobby studio, an arts and crafts room, music room, virtual reality room, hammock lounge, and children’s playroom. Guests from out of town can also take advantage of two luxurious hotel-styled guest suites.

The landscaped outdoor space, designed by NAK Design Group, is equally as exciting as the interior. It features a reflective pool, a barbecue and fire pit with adjacent dining area — taking alfresco dining to the next level — and a play area for the little ones. No matter what you’re doing outside, you will be able to enjoy spectacular views of the city and water.

Residents will also be able to enjoy living their most active lifestyle. In addition to being connected to the waterfront boardwalk and everything it has to offer, the development will include access to a 25,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness centre equipped with cardio machines, free weights, a pool, basketball court, and fitness studios for group classes.

With today’s hectic urban lifestyle, everyone wants (and needs) the opportunity to slow down once in a while to relax. Living on the waterfront at Sugar Wharf Condominiums will give future residents that chance to take time for themselves and recharge every single day. For any busy urban professional, this will truly be the best of both worlds.

Coming Soon from Menkes – investing in the heart of the city

When it comes to downtown living, location is key, so when a building scores a near perfect Walk Score, and a 100 per cent perfect Bike and Transit Score, urban investors should not waste time.

Don’t miss the opportunity to invest in Menkes‘ newest 21-storey condominium tower in.DE, located at the corner of Dundas and Jarvis Streets, steps from everything downtown. With a booming economy, world-renowned reputation for diversity, and the downtown core population expected to soon double to over 500,000, Toronto is poised to continue its upward trajectory as a destination for investment.

The sleek tower is situated in a prime downtown location, rich with history and culture, and set within short walking distance to transit, shopping, hospitals, schools, entertainment, and more. The surrounding area is cast with popular local attractions which include: the Toronto Eaton Centre, Yonge-Dundas Square, Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market, Massey Hall, St. James Park, and two of Canada’s top universities, Ryerson University, and University of Toronto. It’s also a short walk to Bay Street (Canada’s financial capital), and home to the Toronto Stock market, and the country’s leading law and accounting firms.

Located at the centre of Toronto’s Innovation District, in.DE is set in a neighbourhood where technology, health sciences and education combine, and where technology and innovation centres are rapidly expanding. With Toronto’s $53 billion tech sector a leading sector in North America, it’s a community with enormous growth potential.

“This is such a special project because it really offers amazing convenience,” says Mimi Ng, senior vice president of Sales & Marketing at Menkes. “From in.DE, you are literally a four or five-minute walk away from everything you need. This location works for so many different buyer groups on so many levels.”

Like the vibrant and lively surrounding area, in.DE’s impeccable design also seeks to represent the best of everything. From unique architecture, and elegant interior designs, to superior amenities, Menkes has turned to the industry’s best and brightest, to create a project that will stand out in a changing neighbourhood.

Designed by the talented team at Turner Fleischer Architects, the building’s architecture compliments the curve of Dundas Street and its location at the end of a view corridor. The distinctive three-storey glass and brick podium, with its strong rectilinear form, has a gradual curve along its entire length. The tower’s brick and glass façade marries the old with new to create a distinctive structure, which will create a striking silhouette on the city skyline.

Inside the building, Patton Design Studio, one of Canada’s most celebrated interior design teams, has taken a modern, yet chic approach, which reflects the social atmosphere of the neighbourhood.

in.DE’s lobby and deluxe amenity areas have been designed to encourage a sense of community, while staying naturally elegant. The designers have thoughtfully used a variety of textures, materials and furnishings – to create inviting common spaces that will complement the lives of residents.

Building amenities include: a chic and cozy event lounge, a private dining room, a fully equipped catering kitchen, communal work area with lounge seating for collaborative work or study, a fully-equipped cardio studio with separate kickboxing and weight areas, yoga/mediation area with virtual console for classes, a play zone with table tennis and open lounge seating, and a spacious private landscaped outdoor terrace designed by NAK Design Group, which includes barbecue facilities. The building also features 24-hour concierge service, on-site bicycle storage and a luxurious hotel-styled guest suite.

in.DE will offer buyers a choice of studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two bedroom and three-bedroom suites.

Menkes is one of the most well-known and trusted home builders in Toronto, with over 60 years of history and more than 25,000 condominium units built. The company has been recognized as one of the top builders in Ontario for quality and customer service, and is also the builder of the super-luxury Four Seasons Hotel and Residences in Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville district, and the landmark Harbour Plaza Residences and One York office tower complex in the South Core District.

Plaza Midtown

Plaza is launching their new condo in one of Toronto’s most desirable neighbourhoods

It’s no wonder that Yonge and Eglinton has become one of the most desirable places to live in Toronto.

It’s at the centre of a public transit hub and a dynamic business environment, and has a wealth of shopping, dining and entertainment choices.

While the legions of 20-somethings who worked and played in the neighbourhood inspired the area’s ‘Young and Eligible’ nickname, Yonge and Eglinton is truly a neighbourhood for everyone, from singles to families to baby boomers. The community is rich in amenities such as schools, parks, trails and sports facilities and has programs and activities for all ages.

In March, Plaza will launch a new condominium between Holly Street and Dunfield Avenue, Plaza Midtown, in a prime location in the heart of this vibrant community. The project continues Plaza’s winning tradition of building in Toronto’s most sought-after, transit-oriented neighbourhoods. As well as easy access to the subway and the new Crosstown LRT line, just steps away are shops, eateries, services and parks; Sunnybrook Hospital is also nearby.

Locations on subway lines plus excellent service has proven to be a winning formula for Plaza, Toronto’s leading residential condominium construction and development company.

“We find for most of our condo buyers, the subway is their top priority,” says Scott McLellan, senior vice president at Plaza. They also enjoy living in highly walkable neighbourhoods that offer great shopping, dining and entertainment.

Identified by the province as one of five Urban Growth Centres in Toronto, Yonge and Eglinton’s exciting transformation continues, attracting not only condo development, but new businesses including popular retailers such as Lululemon, Sephora, Indigo and Winners and hot new restaurants.

Plaza Midtown offers buyers the opportunity to be near all the action of Yonge and Eglinton, as well as close to peaceful, tree-lined residential streets with older homes where young parents push baby strollers and dog owners walk their pets.

The project will include two towers — a 34-storey tower on Dunfield and a second 27-storey building on Holly Street that will include eight townhomes. The towers will be connected by an underground passageway and there will be two sets of five-star amenities including spectacular lobbies, decks with barbecues, party and dining rooms, an outdoor pool and state-of-the-art fitness facility.

The buildings of Plaza Midtown are designed by award-winning Quadrangle Architects, the firm responsible for some of the city’s most visionary projects. The landscape architect is Sibylle von Knobloch of NAK Design Group, renowned for creating some of the city’s most thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces.

Suites include one-plus den layouts, 600 to 730 square feet in size; two-bedroom plans, including many corner or wide-shallow units; and three-bedroom units from 825 to 900 square feet. Townhomes will be 1,300 to 1,700 square feet, offering the feel of lowrise living combined with the conveniences of the condo lifestyle, in a prime location.

Plaza’s generous two-bedroom suites were an instant hit with buyers at some of its other projects. With lowrise homes beyond the affordability realm of many buyers, the suites offer a practical alternative and room to grow.

“The two-bedroom suites have become very attractive to every single market segment, including the empty nester, the investor and the first-time buyer. These suites give people the flexibility to stay for a long time,” says McLellan.

As well as the superbly designed buildings and suites in the best locations in the city, Plaza buyers appreciate the company’s commitment to customer service.

Plaza was a finalist in the highrise category of Tarion’s prestigious 2016 Homeowners’ Choice Awards, that recognize home builders who provide consistently high quality of construction, design and customer service.

“We have more customer care people assigned to a project than many other builders,” says McLellan. “Our team works closely with buyers to make sure they have a satisfying experience. Our goal is to have zero deficiencies and to provide buyers with new suites that are as ready as if they are walking into a new hotel suite.”
