Brad & Jen’s former newlywed mansion for sale!

Brad & Jen’s former newlywed mansion for sale!

Few things are worth staying in an inconvenient marriage to hold on to, but in the case of a classic Beverly Hills mansion once owned by Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, the breakup might have deserved a second thought. The A-list couple owned the home from 2001 to 2006, and it is once again on the market priced at $44.5 million.

One of Southern California’s most romantic homes, the French Normandy Revival-style estate includes canyon views, dreamy hedged landscaping and a lighted pool, as well as a meandering stoned courtyard and patios and multiple fireplaces, including ones in the bedroom, the dining room and bar, the outdoor living room and an outdoor bedroom over the tennis court. It was going to be their forever love nest when Jennifer and Brad bought it soon after their Malibu marriage. The super couple immediately started a three-year renovation replacing the kitchen floor with heated marble, designing and installing a pub with floors sourced from a 200-year-old French château and adding a private screening room. They also added a tennis court and pavilion, with guest house on the upper level. In January of 2005, their separation was announced and the home sold in 2006 to a hedge fund executive who completed the renovation and added some features of his own.

The 11,173-square-foot home is nestled on a quiet cul-de-sac (just over an acre) with gated entrances on two streets, five bedrooms and thirteen baths between the main house and the one-bedroom guest house. Formal rooms are large, with the dining room capable of seating 20 guests. There’s an eat-in gourmet kitchen, a gym and the bar room includes the original fireplace. The lower-level living room and bar opens to the swimming pool terrace. Grounds are tropical and thickly planted with mature greenery.

The home was originally built in 1934 for actor Fredric March, one of the first movie star mansions in Beverly Hills. March was as big a star, whose 52-year career totalled more than one hundred films, including such classics as The Best Years of Our Lives and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

The former home of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston is on the market priced at $44.5 million.

Jane Fonda’s Beverly Hills home priced at over $13 million

Two-time Oscar winner and actress extraordinaire, Jane Fonda is one of those rare versatile people who thrives and excels in all situations, whether it be in the diverse homes she chooses or the roles she plays in film or in her personal life.

From Vogue cover model, dance teacher, acclaimed Hollywood and Broadway actress and war protester, to selling over 17 million exercise videos at age 79, Fonda shows no signs of slowing down. Fonda has continued to make films and is currently co-starring with Lily Tomlin in the Netflix series Grace and Frankie.

Fonda has owned and lived in many beautiful homes over the years, from her New Mexico ranch where she lived in jeans and cowboy boots, to her sleek and sophisticated home in the Beverly Hills, Trousdale Estates, which she has recently put on the market.

Fonda purchased the property in 2012 with music producer and her former partner Richard Perry from movie director John Rich. Fonda said that she and Perry had looked at as many as 30 houses, but the moment she stepped onto this property, she knew it was the special one.

In addition to the home’s open layout and connection with the outdoors and stunning views, Fonda, having always been highly eco-conscious, was impressed with the photovoltaic electric panels, solar-heated pool, thermal glass double-glazed UV windows and bamboo floors.

The 7,100-square-foot home’s glass walls and elevator and multiple covered and open terraces create indoor/outdoor living spaces to enjoy sweeping canyon and ocean views. Though very sophisticated in its contemporary design, the home is warm and inviting with multiple spaces for entertaining.

The residence includes the main level with its dining and living rooms, butler’s pantry and bar, office and large chef’s kitchen with adjoining family room that opens to a terrace. The first floor houses the media room with a full bar, cork floors and a gym opening out to a pool terrace.

The master suite includes large walk-in closets and his-and-hers baths with steam shower, soaking tub and heated floors. In addition to the outdoor viewing pavilion with fire pit, there is yet another special place — the meditation garden. Listing agents are Jade Mills and Valerie Fitzgerald of Coldwell Banker Previews International.

Jane Fonda’s stunning contemporary home in Beverly Hills overlooking a canyon and the Pacific Ocean is listed at $12.995 million (U.S.)

Taylor Swift’s newest mansion

Latest News

Taylor Swift’s newest mansion

America’s No. 1 sweetheart, Taylor Swift, is one of the world’s richest celebrities with estimated career earnings from her music, concerts, acting and endorsements approaching $800 million. What to do with all that money? Taylor has invested much of it in real estate with homes in New York, Rhode Island, Nashville and her most recent purchase of Samuel Goldwyn’s mansion in Beverly Hills.

In recognition of Goldwyn’s historical contributions to the film industry, Taylor is seeking landmark status for her new home to ensure its preservation for future generations of movie fans.

In the last year, Swift worked closely with her architects to bring the estate back to the exact condition that existed in 1934 when it was built for Goldwyn and his wife, Frances. The home was a neighbourhood destination for many of the era’s Hollywood stars, including Clark Gable and Charlie Chaplin, and used by Goldwyn as collateral for several of his films including Wuthering Heights and his 1946 Oscar-winner The Best Years of Our Lives. After he died in 1994, the home stayed in the Goldwyn family until Swift purchased it from the estate of Goldwyn’s son in 2015 for $25 million.

The Goldwyn Mansion restoration has covered virtually every detail of the property from the original windows, replicating the original wooden fencing and reconstructing the pool cabana’s column, even hoisting the blue wisteria vine at the entry onto scaffolding, while the house wall was refinished, to be later reinstalled in its mature glory. Virtually every inch of the 10,982-square-foot Georgian Revival with its seven bedrooms and 10 baths is being addressed. Included are a library/screening room, a guest suite with a private entrance on the home’s main level, a library, card room, gym and an additional private guest apartment above the garage. The master suite has a veranda that overlooks the city lights. Outside is a swimming pool and pool house with kitchenette and sunken tennis courts.

To date, Swift’s application for landmark status has been given an enthusiastic thumbs up by the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission and is awaiting the vote of the Beverly Hills City Council.

In addition to collecting Grammy Awards, boyfriends and homes, Taylor is staying busy with her new song, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” the first single off of the upcoming Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack.
