Pratt Homes’ Banting Square offers mortgage-free living for three years

During a time when mortgage lending rules are tighter and interest rates are rising, Pratt Homes is doing something unique for potential purchasers. “No other builder in the industry is offering to pay purchaser’s mortgages,” says Vice-President of Marketing and Sales Todd Palmer.

“They say they are, but then they’re just giving a discount on the price and the purchaser still needs to get approved by the bank. We’re actually holding the mortgage.” If a purchaser has the 15-per-cent down payment, Pratt Homes will hold the mortgage and not require a principle or interest payment for three years from the closing date.

“We understand the difficulties some homeowners are facing right now, and we want to help with this program,” says Pratt Homes’ owner Karen Hansen. Pratt Homes will not be charging any interest at all on these deals. A purchaser can move in, pay their condo fees, utilities bills and property taxes and Pratt Homes will waive the principle and interest payments. No interest will accrue of the 36 months while the purchaser lives in the suite.

Pratt Homes opens another condominium community to great success

Banting Square by Pratt Homes in Alliston was released for sales in mid-March and is now over 50 per cent sold out.

The grand opening was a great success, with people excited to become residents of Alliston’s condominium community. In fact, Banting Square is the ONLY new condominium community available for sale right now. So, if you’re interested in getting more for less in Alliston, here’s a few reasons why you should move to Banting Square.

More square footage and less mortgage

Banting Square has large suites available. Right now you can get three-bedroom, two-bathroom suites ranging from 1,374 to 1,454 square feet in size. It’s like owning a small bungalow without the maintenance. If you were to look at condominium suites in the Greater Toronto Area (or in Newmarket to Aurora), you would be paying between $700,000 to $900,000 more than at Banting Square. That’s upwards of $200,000 more than you would pay at Banting Square.

More time with the family and less maintenance

Living the condo life has many great benefits. You don’t cut the lawn, you don’t shovel the driveway, you don’t clean the gutters and certainly no outside window washing for you. You know what you do? You have extra time to spend with your family and friends barbecuing on your balcony or just relaxing in your incredibly spacious suite. Not to mention when the lovely Ontario winter comes, you lock up your condo suite and head for the sun and fun. Banting Square condominiums have secure front door access and underground parking to ensure your new home will be exactly as it was when you return.

More outdoors and less condo fees

Banting Square minimizes your amenities which keeps your maintenance fees lower compared to other condo communities. There is a great outdoor seating area where you, your family, friends or new neighbours can sit while having a coffee and chat. Many people think they want to have pools, saunas, gyms and other amenities, but then reality hits. You end up rarely using these amenities but you still pay those extra high costs. You also end up being liable for everyone else’s friends who decide to dive into the pool or act foolish in the gym. Plus Banting Square is only minutes from Earl Rowe Provincial Park, The Gibson Centre for Performing Arts, Alliston’s incredible downtown and the 45-hole championship golf course at the Nottawasaga Inn and Resort. At Banting Square, you just live the relaxing life you want.

Tarion finalist

This past April, Pratt Homes was announced as a Tarion Home Owners Choice Award Finalist. This is one of the most prestigious accolades in the Ontario building industry. It is voted on by homeowners who are surveyed about their satisfaction with their builder, covering every stage in the homeowner-builder relationship — from the signing of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale, through construction and the pre-delivery period, to after-sales service.

Visit the Sales Office, located at 176 Victoria Street in Alliston. The Sales Office is open
from 2 p .m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and
from noon to 5 p.m. weekends and holidays;
closed Friday.

Banting Square

This new Pratt Homes condominium is located in a tranquil town with a rich heritage

Alliston, Ontario is located one hour north west of Toronto but is in fact at the most northern tip of the Greater Toronto Area.

This stunningly tranquil town possesses an incredibly rich heritage which the members of the community are proud of. To compliment this heritage, Pratt Homes has named their new community Banting Square, Alliston’s Condominium Community, paying tribute to the legacy of Sir Frederick Banting and appreciating the historical architecture in this beautiful town.

Banting Square is inspired by the use of red brick, gable ends as well as the architectural symmetry which are all characteristics of important heritage buildings in Alliston such as The Gibson Centre for Community, Arts and Culture, Museum on the Boyne and the Banting Homestead.

Banting Square is located at the corner of Lorne Street and Wellington Street and will host 256 unit condominium buildings. The condominium sizes will range from 800 up to almost 1,500 square feet, and will possess open concept floor plans with balconies you can barbecue on. The buildings will have secure front door access with underground parking as well as an outdoor sitting area where neighbours can become friends.

The Banting Square community is just minutes drive from Zehrs and downtown Alliston’s remarkable shops and eateries. It’s also right around the corner from Earl Rowe Provincial Park and the famous Nottawasaga Inn resort, which hosts a championship 18 hole golf course. Alliston, Ontario is also home to three Honda plants which have 4500 employees. Just late last year Honda announced they will spend $492 million dollars in enhancements over the next three years on the plants. Alliston is a crown jewel and Banting Square is right in the heart of it.

Over the past six months in the Greater Toronto Area, especially in Toronto proper, prices have continued to sky rocket as home supply continues to dwindle, making purchasing incredibly competitive and virtually impossible. If you move your new home search down highway 400 just 60 minutes north of Toronto to Alliston, you can experience the lifestyle and financial benefits of rural community living.

The Banting Square sales office is located at 176 Victoria Street in Alliston and will be open in early March for sneak previews. However, no selling will be done until the grand opening on Saturday March 18th, 2017.

Visit the Sales Office;
from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and
from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends and holidays;
closed Friday.

For more information visit BantingSquare.ca and register before the grand opening.
