Hilti 22V Angle Grinder
New battery platforms don’t always make your old tools become obsolete, as Hilti showed when it transitioned its 18V line of cordless tools to 22V. The new batteries are the same size and weight as 18V, and they’re fully compatible with Hilti’s 18V tools. The company did add new brushless tools to the 22V collection, including a light and well-balanced 4 1/2″ angle grinder. Two safety features stand out: the electronic brake stops the grinding disc within one second, and “Active Torque Control” shuts off the tool when it detects the disc is binding.
