Jerry Howarth joins HOMES and building industry for baseball tournament to benefit Habitat for Humanity GTA

The 2019 Sixth Annual Builder Baseball charity softball tournament at Richmond Green Park in Richmond Hill was a rousing success, raising $53,000 for Habitat for Humanity GTA and bringing the six-year total up to $247,000.[caption id="attachment_47062" align="alignnone" width="750"]builder_base_2019_winning_team 2019 Winning Team : Sun-Brite / Torlys[/caption]Heavy rains cancelled the actual games but did not dampen spirits, as 24 teams, 360 players, plus sponsors and volunteers, braved the inclement weather to soak up the atmosphere, camaraderie and refreshments.habitat_for_humanity_chequeThis year's event featured special guest Jerry Howarth, legendary former Blue Jays broadcaster, who chatted with the hundreds of participants, shared fascinating stories and signed autographs.[print_gllr id=47000]The day culminated with a cheque presentation to Habitat for Humanity GTA in the amount of $53,000, presented by Michael Rosset, Publisher of HOMES Publishing Group (HPG).Special kudos to Michael Rosset, Josh Rosset and Frances Mangos of HOMES Publishing Group, Tiffany Kohl, BILD and Michelle Vestergaard of Enbridge, for pulling the tournament together.The tournament was rescheduled for mid September.habitatGTA.camyhomepage.cabildgta.ca facebook.com/builderbaseball
