Consulate Development Group is proud of its history. As leaders in the building and land development industry, the company has been owned and operated by two generations of the Sorokolit family for more than 45 years.

Based in Mississauga, Ontario, the firm is recognized for having conceived and developed a number of significant infill housing projects along with several large-scale master planned communities. Many of these residential and commercial initiatives evolved from 50-150 acre “greenfield” sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In all cases, thoughtful vision and effort were expended in site selection, zoning and land use approvals and site servicing/construction to bring a development from its initial stage of “raw land” all the way to a thriving and vibrant community filled with homes, schools, parks and shopping facilities.

Currently, Consulate Development Group is underway with three new residential projects throughout the Golden Horseshoe Region of Ontario, including the municipalities of Niagara Falls, Collingwood and the Cooksville area of Mississauga. These projects represent more than 3,000 homes coming to market over the next several years. At its core, Consulate Development Group will continue to pursue residential and commercial initiatives that contribute positively to the evolving urban landscape with a mandate to deliver eco-friendly, efficient design in a quality and attractive living environment.

Over the past several decades, Consulate Development Group has maintained its passion, integrity and a “hands on” approach in more than two dozen real estate development projects throughout Ontario and the southern United States. Grand Niagara

Grand Niagara will soon become the premier master plan community in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Development of more than 800 acres on the west side of the QEW between Welland River and Lyon’s Creek/Biggar Road the new Master Plan for an exciting new residential community will be finalized in 2018.

Opened in 2005, the Grand Niagara Golf Club occupies approximately 40% of the site. Ultimately 1600 – 1800 single family and town homes will be built upon this scenic, gently rolling land. The provincial government has recently announced that the $1 billion South Niagara Hospital will be constructed immediately next door to the Grand Niagara community. This facility will become a major employer in the area and a significant demand generator for new homes. We expect that Grand Niagara will become the new standard for quality design and environmental sustainability in the Niagara Region.

Bridgewater on Georgian Bay

This site represents the largest parcel of undeveloped land (312 acres) located on the shores of Georgian Bay in Collingwood, Ontario. Development approvals have already been secured for 430 homes. A new comprehensive master plan has been created for up to 1200 mid-rise condos in a pedestrian friendly “village” setting.

These architecturally themed neighbourhoods will be surrounded by a 250 acre Nature Preserve containing recreational trails, boardwalks, gazebos and fire pits strategically positioned along a 1.5km waterfront. The project will also contain a major clubhouse amenity with a  waterside restaurant, swimming pool, tennis courts and boat slips.

Coming Fall 2019!

This high profile 3.65 acre parcel of land is situated in the old Cooksville area of Mississauga. Located on the North Service Road immediately adjacent to the QEW/Hurontario Street interchange, the current development proposal is to build a 144 unit urban townhouse project with terraces, roof decks and landscaped courtyards.
