You are invited to join Team Mikey on Saturday, May 27 for the 2017 Walk of Life at the Ontario Science Centre and E.T. Seton Park.Participation will help raise funds and awareness for the Mikey Network, which aims to place public access defibrillators in high-risk locations across the GTA. The Mikey Network was established by Hugh Heron of Heathwood Homes and Herity in memory of a partner and friend, Michael Hart Salem, who died of a sudden cardiac arrest while golfing. The event will feature a one-, three- or five-kilometre walk, a five- or 10-kilometre run, chair exercises for seniors and kids fun run plus lots of fun activities for children of all ages.Your donation will also help children at high risk of cardiac arrest live a more normal life. In many cases these children would not even be able to leave the hospital without a portable automated external defibrillator (AED).Through the Mikey's Kids program, they can participate in activities they would not otherwise be able to, and their families can have peace of mind of knowing their Mikey is close by should they ever need it.mikeynetwork.com
