A few of you have contacted me or my colleagues here at Renovation Contractor magazine asking when we’ll be holding our next Renovators’ Roundtable. Well I’m happy to announce that we’ve locked down the date for the next event: Wednesday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 2, 2018. The Roundtable will be held once again at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ont.
For those of you who have been to one of our Roundtables before, you’ll know what a great experience it is. Many past attendees have told me stories about how putting down the tools for a couple of days to focus on really building their business has paid off many times over. From the informative business development sessions led by some of the leading experts in the field, to the hands-on trade show where you get to try out the new tools and discover the latest innovations in building science, there are countless learning opportunities throughout the event. And with multiple contests and giveaways, no one walks away empty handed.
But if you haven’t been before, here’s the one thing that really stands out for me as a highlight of participating in the Roundtable: the chance to meet with colleagues from across the country. Too often we tend to view other contractors and homebuilders as competitors, hacks looking to undercut our pricing. But you know as well as I do that it’s a few bad apples that give our industry a bad name. So why not take the opportunity to bounce some ideas off of like minded people who simply want to do a fair job for a fair price. In fact, one of the first times I met Dan Hall was when he was a guest speaker at the Roundtable a few years ago. Today, he’s my business partner in Caruk Hall Homes.
I’m not saying you’ll completely change your business, but I promise that you definitely don’t want to miss out. Registration details will be posted on our website shortly.
